Medicaid will only cover 20% of her bills.
I would like to find a bunch of designers who are willing do a huge kit to help raise money for her and her family.

As a mother of 2 little ones, I can't imagine being faced with cancer TWO TIMES, let alone once. I can't imagine the emotions of it all. My heart and prayers go out to Jillann for a complete recovery. God is faithful and I KNOW He's able to do this.

CT (Creative Team) Call

I'm fairly new to digi scrap design as I've said before. I just got into my first store which I'm still over the moon about. :) I'm the mom of 2 silly little girls and the wife to one hunky husband and I will openly admit, I just don't have the time to do everything I want to (or need) do. I know you know what I mean. :)

Anyhow, I've been so busy creating and designing kits that I have not had the time to actually scrap any pages with my kits. I decided to do a few (well, it turned out to be 1, but who's counting? lol) the other night with my favorite kit and I realized that I may not have designed enough elements to make some really great pages. That's a problem! lol

So, I'm looking for a handful of digi scrappers (2-3 maybe, 3-5?) who would be interested in joining my Creative Team. What that would entail is creating layouts with my kits and of course you would receive the kits for free. I would be posting your layouts on my blog for all to see and admire and I'd ask that you post them in an online gallery of your choice referencing what kit you used and where they can get ahold of it. Easy Peasey! :)

Rustic Meadows Layout

I've been so busy working on my Christmas Kit and just kits in general that I barely have time to create layouts with my designs. Well, tonight I decided to take a little break and bang out a layout using my Rustic Meadows Kit.

In this layout is my little Gracie Girl (left) who is now 2, Justin, my nephew who was living with us at the time, and my Emma Doo who will be 5 in December. Yes, this photo is old but shamefully I think it's my most recent Autumn picture.

I'm so excited I can barely stand it! I have teamed up with Haven Designz and will now be selling my kits in their webstore. Yay! This has been a dream of mine for awhile now and I can't believe that it's actually coming true. Whoa - God is good. :)

I normally don't create commercial use elements but in the spirit of the upcoming holiday season, I created a little something and decided to give it away as a commercial use freebie. New Kit coming this week - need a name...

I don't know what's harder, creating the kits or coming up with catchy names! I'm working on a new kit and it should be done this week but I can't come up with a name. It has a lot of blues in it. Not overly girly but not necessarily boyish. Anyone want to throw some ideas out there? I'm totally open. I was tossing around April Rain although not really sold on it.

Anyhow, the kit is going to consist of 8 papers, a bunch of ribbons, maybe an alpha set, some scrap paper and maybe a few more other little treats. I'm still trying to master swirly ribbons though. I made one last night from scratch and when I asked my my husband what it looked like he answered, "a snake?". lol Guess I still have some more work to do. Here is a layout I created with some of the elements.

A Little Dream of Mine

Last year I began digital scrapbooking and immediatly got hooked! But creating layouts with my pictures just wasn't enough. I wanted to design my own kits. I did some research and turned up completely empty handed. I thought "sheesh! this is one hard field to get into"! So, I kind of put that little dream on the backburner and started working on my next venture.

In March of this year I opened up The Emilee Grace Company - an internet based business that sells hip and trendy products for mom and baby. While working on graphics and things to use on my website I started to learn more and more about the photo editing program I was using - Paint Shop Pro. Suddenly, my desire to learn how to design digital scrapbook kits and elements returned and I started spending hours online searching for tutorials. Little by little I became familiar with some techniques and tools.

With my newfound knowledge, I began doing FREE blog designs. I couldn't charge because the kits I was using were for personal use but I thought "I could probably design some of my own things now". And so I did. I'm still in the very very early stages of design and I still do blog designs for free but hope to eventually join a Creative Team and start designing and selling my own kits.
